- Conduct theory lectures and kitchen pastry practical sessions
- Ensure a pass rate of 85% and throughput rate of 90% is achieved
- Student tracking counselling and support
- Input towards curriculum development and improvement
- Apply assessment principles as per assessor code of conduct
- Industry time and research
- Open day Sweet Snacks
- Taking the lead on all Competitions
- In charge of Pastry Based Excursions for the students

- Minimum NQF 5 qualification in the hospitality industry
- City and Guilds Diploma in Food Prep and Cooking & Patisserie
- CATHSSETA scoping Unit 73292 is a requirement
- Assessors and Moderators certificate
- Certified to conduct outcome-based assessment
- Minimum 5 years Pastry experience
- Minimum 2 years lecturing / teaching/assessor
- Experience in a managerial position is needed
- Chocolate Work
- Sugar Craft
- Bread Making
- Basic Pastry Fundamentals
- Cake Decorating
