JOB SUMMARY The Supply Chain Intern will work independently with guidance from Supply Chain Management and team members to identify and develop project scope. Under the supervision of experienced supply chain personnel the Supply Chain Intern will be responsible for supply chain activities that include: - Spend analysis Contract Manufacturer (CM) turnkey Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) parts top dollar spend part numbers. Perform Landed Cost price comparisons.
- ERP system (Intuitive) data integrity projects.
- New Product Introduction (NPI) SCM Development support and project work to include work transfers.
- Coordinate update to AES vendor Small Business Certifications.
- Working with Buyers use lean manufacturing principles to support organization continuous improvement projects.
- Support cables and outlets Buyers with administration efforts including sales commit updates MRP and purchase order review and coordination.
- Prepare Engineering Change Notice documents for dissemination to Contract Manufacturers
- Support continuous improvement activities for electronic documentation archiving or other focus as identified.
- Support updates to standard work guidelines.
- Data input of new item standard costs and changes.
- Enter invoices for payments of misc. items and make recommendations for process improvement.
- Pair with buyers to do audit file preparation and audit readiness.
- Support the preparation of supplier business reviews.
- Support negotiation preparation and planning strategies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: - Requires 2-3 years of college level courses focusing on supply chain management
