Job Summary:
The DXA Technician is responsible for completing bone densitometry exams according to prescribed exam protocols and exam duration processing bone density studymeasurements using computer generated methods and proper use of electronic medical record with patient chart documentation. Positions patient on examining table sets up and adjusts equipment to view specific body area as requested by physician. Performs procedures using bone density x-ray equipment and coordinating patient care for bone density services under supervision of physician. Work situations are a variety of clinical and clerical functions which requires knowledge and integration of available standards resources and data; discretion; good judgment; diplomacy; decision-making; and a customer service attitude. Familiar with standard concepts practices and procedures within an imaging center. Relies on limited judgment and experience to plan and accomplish goals.
Pay and Benefits:
Pay: $22.70 - $34.46 per hourbased on relevant experience skills and abilities.

Work is classified as moderate in physical requirements. Must be able to assist in supporting patients of varying weight. Ability to stand walk or sit for extended periods of time. Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction. Also requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard photocopier telephone calculator and other office equipment as necessary.

Work requires high attention to detail and the ability to handle mentally stressful situations. The ability to maintain high level of sensitivity towards confidential information is also required.
