REQUIRED PROCEDURES

General Emergency Medicine procedures as per department scope

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: Active Mississippi medical license required

Board: Board Certification not required; must have completed a 3-year residency (will accept 1-year post-graduate training if Boarded)

Boards Accepted: EM FP IM (except residents); ABEM exempt; ABPS and AAPS not accepted

DEA: Pending DEA accepted

Certifications: ACLS PALS ATLS required

Experience: Minimum 1 year post-residency training preferred

Other Qualifications: Proof of immunizations and recent PPD or QuantiFERON required; must pass criminal background check;

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide emergency medical care for all patient presentations within the Emergency Department

Perform assessments diagnoses and treatment for acute and urgent medical conditions

Collaborate with Advanced Practitioners and other hospital staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the facility EMR system

Participate in departmental quality and compliance initiatives
