Job Summary

As a Mainframe Database Engineer you will:

Perform version upgrades and ensure the stability of Supra/PDM RDM and Mantis environments.
Monitor and optimize database performance to ensure high availability and reliability.
Manage and maintain schema definitions and perform required configuration changes including expanding database files.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Mantis-Supra and COBOL-Supra applications running on z/OS.
Provide support for disaster recovery planning and execution.
Work within agile teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure alignment with ITIL practices and maintain operational excellence.

What You Bring to the Table:

Experience: 10 years of hands-on expertise in mainframe database engineering.
Strong working knowledge of Supra/PDM RDM and Mantis environments.
Experience with COBOL-Supra applications on z/OS.
Familiarity with CA Earl reports (preferred but not mandatory).
Understanding of ITIL processes and agile methodologies.

You should possess the ability to:

Analyze system performance and implement effective optimization strategies.
Effectively troubleshoot complex technical issues in mainframe environments.
Manage version control and upgrades with minimal impact to operations.
Maintain clear schema structures and perform database configuration changes.
Work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ensure system resilience through strong disaster recovery support.
