We are hiring Staff Nurse -Critical Care (HDU/ICU) into a Hospital at Dublin Ireland.
Permanent Contract
Responsibilities
- Be familiar with and practice within all policies procedures and standards set out by the hospital.
- Completing nursing assessment care plan and other relevant documentationReport verbally and in writing pertinent patient care information to appropriate nursing/medical staff and other clinical staff.
- Liaise with and co-operate with other departments as required and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
- Ensure all documentation relating to patient is accurately maintained in the patients medical records in line with policy and procedures and the record kept in a confidential manner and using only approved abbreviations.
- Comply with the medications policy ensuring that regulations for the safekeeping and recording of scheduling drugs are adhered to always.
- Observe and record signs behaviours and symptoms including the physiological status of patients; present the assessment of changes the proposed revision of interventions and desired outcomes.
- Performs admission transfer and discharge procedures and assists others with patients activities and care.
- Execute physicians orders for all assigned patients; properly and safely administer medications and treatments.
- Independently perform duties and assume responsibility for care of assigned patients.
- Perform techniques and routines in the specialty service area.
- Assists or performs others to perform proper aseptic techniques isolation procedures and infection control measures.
- Document nursing care in all assigned patient records.
Requirements
- Candidates need to have a valid NMBI PIN and be listed on the Register of General Nurses (NMBI).
- Possess experience working in an acute hospital setting for at least a year after registering.
- HDU experience in the UK or Ireland
- Possess demonstrated clinical and professional skills
- Possess outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills and be a great communicator.
- Know how to write and speak English well.
- Adopt a flexible approach to your work schedule.
- Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate the capacity to collaborate well with a multidisciplinary team
- Verified training or credentials related to the specialized intensive care unit course.
- Experience with ventilation
- Advanced Course in Cardiac Life Support
- must have 1 year or more experience in an Acute Irish Hospital.
