Ancient Remedies/Bublishing is a rapidly growing e-commerce company specializing in the health and wellness sector and we are looking for a dedicated results-driven professional to take ownership of our China-side supply chain efficiencies.

The Role

We are seeking a Supply Chain Optimization Specialist based in China (Shenzhen or Guangzhou preferred) to be the crucial on-the-ground resource for our operations. You will be the primary point of contact for our Chinese partners and will be responsible for driving down costs improving speed and establishing resilience across our manufacturing and fulfillment network.

Currently our operations involve a primary supplier in Guangzhou (GZ) and a Third-Party Logistics (3PL) provider in Shenzhen (SZ) who handles the fulfillment of individual units to our worldwide customers. Your role is central to optimizing this critical flow.

Key Responsibilities

As our Supply Chain Optimization Specialist you will be expected to:

Cost and Logistics Optimization: Proactively manage and negotiate with our 3PLs and logistics providers to ensure we are constantly securing the best possible pricing and service terms.
Product and Packaging Engineering: Lead efforts to optimize packaging and product specifications (especially for printed materials like books) focusing on minimizing overall weight while maintaining or improving product quality and integrity.
Manufacturing Lead Time Reduction: Identify bottlenecks and implement strategies with our suppliers to significantly reduce product manufacturing lead times to improve inventory cycles and speed to market.
Business Continuity and Resilience: Strategically research vet and establish qualified backup suppliers and 3PL partners to ensure robust business continuity and mitigate risk in case of an outage with our current partners.
Operational Foresight and Compliance: Maintain a pulse on all day-to-day issues within our China-side operations. Furthermore you will be responsible for looking ahead tracking potential disruptions such as blackout dates new customs or shipping regulations and regional logistics challenges and developing proactive mitigation plans.
Partner Relationship Management: Act as the primary expert point of contact for all our Chinese manufacturing and logistics partners fostering strong productive relationships.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience: Proven experience in supply chain management logistics or operations ideally within an e-commerce or manufacturing environment.
Skills: Strong negotiation skills a sharp focus on cost reduction and an analytical approach to process optimization.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with professional fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English to effectively manage all partner relationships and internal reporting.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of logistics fulfillment and manufacturing processes within the Pearl River Delta region.
