Whats the role
As Manager Governance youll play a key role in supporting the Commercial Banks risk governance framework. Youll be responsible for coordinating and managing governance forums preparing executive-level papers and maintaining critical governance registers and controls. This role is central to ensuring our governance processes are well-structured compliant and aligned with regulatory expectations.
Youll work closely with senior leaders across the Business & Wealth Division contributing to the rhythm of decision-making and helping shape how risk is managed across the bank. This is a full-time position based in Sydney with a hybrid working model that offers flexibility and balance.
What do I need
Were looking for someone whos confident navigating governance and risk in a complex environment with a strong sense of ownership and attention to detail:
- Proven experience in governance risk or compliance within a large organisation.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise papers for senior audiences.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- A collaborative mindset and confidence working with stakeholders at all levels.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and governance obligations.
