Stream A Level 5 to 6 - $93401 to 100017 plus superannuation

  • 5% attraction and retention allowance where the officer holds a complete qualification recognised by Environmental Health Australia (EHA).
  • $6000 relocation allowance for suitable candidates
  • 9-day fortnight

As an Environmental Health Officer youll play a key role in ensuring a healthy environment for the community and be responsible for conducting inspections investigations and compliance assessment.

What your day will look like:

  • Offer expert guidance on environmental health issues to customers and stakeholders ensuring effective communication and top-notch customer service.
  • Conduct inspections investigations and compliance actions related to public health environmental health and regulatory services ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and local laws.
  • Contribute to the creation and improvement of policies procedures and guidelines to ensure the efficient delivery of environmental health services and regulatory compliance.
  • Assess and respond to customer requests in a timely and appropriate manner

What youll need for success:

Level 5

  • The Officer holds or is currently enrolled and actively completing a Degree in Applied Science (Environmental Health) or other qualification allowing eligibility for professional membership of Environmental Health Australia
  • Up to 2 years of experience in an Environmental Health related role
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence

Level 6

  • Degree in Applied Science (Environmental Health) or other qualification allowing eligibility for professional membership of Environmental Health Australia
  • Minimum total of 2 years of experience as an Environmental Health Officer
  • Current Class C Drivers Licence

Whats nice to have:

  • Membership of Environmental Health (Australia)
  • Certificate of Professional recognition as issued by Environmental Health Australia
  • Certificate or other qualification acceptable to Qld Health as Food Audito
  • Recognised qualification that satisfies national training criteria to deliver training services and competency based assessments
