Regional Sales Director/Hospital Liaison

Job Summary

The Regional Clinical Sales Liaison is responsible for conducting clinical assessments for assigned hospitals while developing and managing referral relationships within an established geographic area. This senior-level role combines clinical expertise with strategic business development skills to drive census growth expand market presence and strengthen referral partnerships for the nursing home facility. The position requires strong leadership strategic thinking and exceptional communication skills to develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with organizational goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Clinical Assessments: Completes timely and accurate clinical evaluations for patients referred from assigned hospitals to determine appropriate level of care and facility placement.
  • Referral Development: Builds and maintains relationships with hospital discharge planners case managers physicians and other healthcare professionals to facilitate seamless patient transitions.
  • Strategic Planning: Develops regional sales plans strategies and forecasts in alignment with corporate goals and evolving market conditions.
  • Team Leadership: Recruits trains and manages a team of sales or liaison professionals establishing performance metrics and fostering a high-performing collaborative culture.
  • Sales Execution: Drives business growth by expanding referral networks identifying new business opportunities and retaining existing accounts to maximize revenue and occupancy.
  • Market Analysis: Conducts market research monitors competitor activity and identifies emerging trends to inform strategy and uncover new opportunities.
  • Client Management: Builds and maintains strong relationships with key clients hospital executives and community partners to ensure satisfaction and long-term collaboration.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partners with clinical marketing and administrative teams to ensure a unified and effective approach to admissions communications and customer experience.
  • Performance Monitoring: Tracks analyzes and reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Community Engagement: Represents the facility at community events professional meetings and outreach initiatives to enhance brand visibility and referral partnerships.

Job Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong clinical background with knowledge of skilled nursing rehabilitation and post-acute care services.
  • Proven ability to conduct thorough clinical assessments and interpret medical documentation.
  • Comprehensive understanding of healthcare referral processes discharge planning and payer systems (Medicare Medicaid and Managed Care).
  • Exceptional communication presentation and relationship management skills.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with a results-driven approach to sales and market development.
  • Leadership ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools Microsoft Office Suite and data reporting systems.

Qualifications & Education

  • Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Nursing Healthcare Administration Business Marketing or related field required; Masters degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 35 years of experience in healthcare sales hospital liaison or post-acute business development required.
  • Prior experience conducting clinical assessments and working with referral partners in acute or post-acute settings strongly preferred.
  • Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
  • Must demonstrate a moderate level of computer literacy in order to use and access our systems and tools within our facilities to complete online tasks and documentation.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate and interact professionally with staff and residents.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit stand and walk for extended periods including while visiting hospitals and community partners.
  • Must be able to lift push pull and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Frequent travel within assigned geographic region required.
  • Visual and auditory acuity required for communication and assessment.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment while managing multiple priorities.
