Tintern Grammar seeks to appoint a passionate Junior School Teacher experienced in Upper Primary teaching with a Physical Education (PE) teaching component who will contribute positively to the vibrant culture of our Junior School community.

About the Role

As a key member of our Junior School you will deliver engaging and purposeful learning experiences for your students and demonstrate strong knowledge of both curriculum and pedagogy. You will plan and deliver lessons across core subjects and Physical Education catering to diverse learning needs and supporting student growth.

You will bring your passion for to the school and above all have a willingness to engage connect and care for our students.

This is a full-time ongoing position effective Term 1 2026.

About You

You will be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and experience in teaching Junior School. You will demonstrate:

  • A strong understanding of upper primary teaching and learning practice
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging PE programs that promote skill development teamwork and wellbeing
  • Care and connectedness with students
  • Current VIT registration
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to encourage and motivate your students
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills
  • You will encourage students within a structured school environment to make individual choices and to use new experiences as learning opportunities
  • You will have a desire to work collaboratively with other teachers and actively engage in the broader life of the School
  • An interest in and/or experience in Cultures of Thinking would be advantageous.
