The Resources Regulator (part of NSW Resources) is seeking a dynamic Principal Compliance Manager to oversee the Audit & Enforcement Investigations and Compliance Assessments teams within the Mining Act Inspectorate.

About the Role

As Principal Compliance Manager you will be responsible for managing teams who conduct risk-based compliance and investigation activities related to exploration mine rehabilitation and security deposits.

Youll also be responsible for:

  • Overseeing the planning and delivery of audits investigations and compliance operations.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate voluntary compliance and drive positive outcomes.
  • Providing expert advice on regulatory matters supporting informed decision-making at the highest levels.
  • Mentoring and developing a high-performing team fostering a culture of continuous improvement and service excellence.

What Were Looking For

To be successful youll need to have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and leadership experience in a regulatory environment (or equivalent).
  • A current Class C NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to travel throughout NSW as required.

Youll also bring:

  • Sound experience with regulatory compliance and enforcement models auditing and investigation processes.
  • A strong outcomes focus with the ability to balance risk and deliver results in a complex high-volume environment.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire develop and motivate teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
