Description

NAYA Family Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Early Childhood Coordinator / Site Director to lead our early childhood program with a focus on culturally-responsive practice family engagement and high-quality early learning. You will oversee operations at the Chaku Kumtuks Illahee (CKI) early learning site opening in January 2026 supervise and support staff ensure regulatory compliance and drive program improvement aligned with our mission.

This is a full-time position between the working hours of 7:45 - 5:45 daily that may include evenings and occasional weekends as needed.


The yearly salary for this position starts at $65000.


Who You Are:

  • You have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You have several years of experience in early childhood education settings including supervisory/leadership responsibilities.
  • You haver knowledge of Native American history an understanding of the diversity of the local Native American/Alaskan Native community and issues surrounding the Urban Indian experience required.
  • You are skilled in developing implementing and overseeing early childhood curriculum and program practices that support childrens social emotional cognitive and physical development.
  • You bring strong knowledge of licensing standards accreditation processes assessment tools and best practices in early childhood education.
  • You are committed to culturally responsive and inclusive programming able to engage diverse children families and staff.
  • You are an effective communicator and collaborator partnering with parents community stakeholders staff and children with respect and clarity.
  • You are organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage operations budgets staffing and program quality.
  • You are a leader who supports staff development fosters strong team culture and holds yourself and others accountable for high standards.


What Youll Do:

  • Provide leadership and oversight of the sites daily operations: staffing program implementation learning environments health & safety and facility management. The employee must be prepared to respond to sick calls starting at 6:30am and when necessary report onsite to ensure adequate coverage and smooth operations.
  • Supervise coach and mentor early childhood education staff; handle hiring performance evaluations professional development and team-building.
  • Ensure program compliance with applicable licensing regulations accreditation standards early learning guidelines and organizational policies.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives: monitor program data assessments and outcomes; identify areas for growth and implement plans for improvement.
  • Oversee curriculum planning and implementation: work with lead teachers to design age-appropriate experiences and environments that support childrens holistic development.
  • Engage families as partners: support effective communication with families facilitate family events conferences and support resources for children and families.
  • Manage administrative functions: maintain child/staff records manage budgets and expenses schedule staffing and ensure reports and documentation are timely and accurate.
  • Build and maintain community partnerships and relationships with relevant external agencies stakeholders and supports that enhance program offerings and access.
  • Represent the site and organization in community settings; promote the programs mission strengths and successes.
  • Perform other related duties and support organizational initiatives as needed.
