Rate of Pay: $48.08
Hours: M-F
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team in Rockland County. This is a unique opportunity to work in the community providing psychiatric and medical care to individuals living with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.
As part of a multidisciplinary mobile team the RN delivers health assessments education and treatment in participants homes and community settings. The role includes administering medications providing health education coordinating care with the ACT psychiatrist and team and supporting participants in achieving their recovery goals through a person-centered trauma-informed approach.
Responsible for on-call shifts monitoring and responding to after-hours calls to the program emergency phone. Shifts are for one week at a time on a rotating basis.
Qualifications:
Current NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license and registration required
Experience in psychiatric or mental health nursing preferred
Strong organizational communication and teamwork skills
Valid NYS drivers license required
Bilingual (Spanish Haitian Creole or Yiddish) a plus
