Responsibilities
Support sales trading and hedging activities.
Participate in the origination structuring and modeling of transactions.
Assess market trends and provide quantitative data for clients.
Perform market and quantitative research analysis.
Assist in structuring pricing and executing trades.
Handle day-to-day transaction needs including reconciliation and clearing services.
Participate in the development of new products and bring them to market.
Assist in educating clients about complex structures and technical products.
Assist in structuring executing and managing risk for financial transactions including structured commodity derivatives equity and debt transactions within the electricity and natural gas markets in the US.
Develop and maintain complex financial models including cash flow models and option pricing models to analyze transaction economics and identify key P&L drivers.
Work with the trading desk to monitor commodity markets to identify trends and events that may impact views and support the development of structured solutions for clients based on these trends.
Assist in coordinating information flow with various internal partners and product groups to support the execution of new transactions and the management of existing transactions.
Prepare client presentation materials internal approval memos and marketing documents.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Business Administration Mathematics Economics or related: and
2 years of experience in the job offered or a related Finance occupation.
Must include 2 years of experience in each of the following:
Assisting in structuring executing and managing risk for financial transactions including structured commodity derivatives equity and debt transactions within the electricity and natural gas markets in the US;
Developing and maintaining complex financial models including cash flow models and option pricing models to analyze transaction economics and identify key P&L drivers;
Working with trading desk to monitor commodity markets to identify trends and events that may impact views and support development of structured solutions for clients based on these trends;
Assisting in coordinating information flow with various internal partners and product groups to support execution of new transactions and management of existing transactions; and
Preparing client presentation materials internal approval memos and marketing documents.
10% domestic travel required as necessary
