We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SALT) to join a purpose-built independent neurorehabilitation hospital in York. This innovative service specialises in neurobehavioural assessment and post-acute rehabilitation for individuals with non-progressive acquired brain injuries.
The centre provides a highly supportive and multidisciplinary environment aimed at restoring independence improving function and enhancing quality of life. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Band 6 or Band 7 therapist looking to make a meaningful impact in a specialist adult neurorehabilitation setting.
In this role you will:
Deliver comprehensive assessment diagnosis and treatment for adults with communication and swallowing needs following acquired brain injury.
Develop and implement person-centred therapy plans as part of an integrated MDT approach.
Provide specialist input into neurobehavioural rehabilitation programmes.
Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to patient reviews and discharge planning.
Participate in service development and contribute to best practice standards within the therapy team.
Receive professional support supervision and CPD opportunities to support your clinical growth.
To be considered for this role you must have:
A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
HCPC registration and eligibility for membership of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
Experience working with adults with acquired brain injury or in a neurorehabilitation setting.
Strong clinical reasoning and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
A commitment to evidence-based practice and continuing professional development.
