The School Health Institute Assistant Manager supports strategic planning and facilitation for MA Department of Public Health (MDPH) funded School Health Institute for Education and Leadership Development (SHIELD) program at BUSPH. This person collaborates with SHIELDs Director and Principal Investigator in setting training priorities managing stakeholder relationships and leading supervising and training SHIELD staff. This person oversees the development of educational programs including working with other training center staff to plan develop manage deliver and evaluate trainings on school health issues and for a school nurse audience. They will ensure the continuing nurse education (CNE) planning process meets American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)/Joint Accreditation (JA) requirements. SHIELDs goal is to prepare MA School Health Nurses to serve as clinical leaders mobilizing teams of educators services providers and community leaders to address pressing health issues affecting our schools and communities. This program focuses on training and coalition building. This is a part-time position
3-5 years of experience required. RN MSN MPH MHPE or equivalent School Nurse experience with MA school nurse licensure required; NCSN a plus Experience designing analyzing delivering and properly documenting course content according to nursing practice standards and ANCC requirements Certified or qualified for Certification as Nurse Educator Experience using online learning management systems (e.g. Moodle Blackboard Canvas) a plus.
