What youll be doing:

• Leading and coaching a team of underwriters to deliver consistent high-quality decisions
• Creating a culture of engagement development and accountability
• Contributing to planning and forecasting to ensure efficient work allocation
• Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Communicating clearly and confidently across a range of topics
• Encouraging constructive challenge to improve customer journeys and team efficiency
• Using performance data and observations to set expectations and track progress
• Ensuring service levels meet customer expectations and business commitments

• Demonstrating exceptional leadership and motivational skills
• Understanding HR policies insurance principles and business strategy
• Communicating effectively and confidently with diverse audiences
• Making accurate and confident decisions within authorised autonomy
• Analysing and interpreting management information and risk data
• Solving problems and making sound decisions under pressure
• Organising time and workflow to deliver expected outcomes
• Holding a CII diploma or equivalent experience (desirable)
