Job Summary and Responsibilities

At St. Mary Medical Center this position reports directly to the Rehabilitation Unit Director andwill be under the direction of the Medical Director of Rehabilitation. The Rehabiliation Clinical Liason will adhere to the collective needs of consumers with physical injuries/disabilities and medical conditions impairing functional abilities. This position requires a working knowledge of Title 22 Prospective Payment System (PPS) and Insurances/Vendors/Negotiation for service and contracts. This position will focus on census building community outreach and program development.

The Rehabilitation Clinical Liaison is responsible for maintaining current referral sources and for developing new clients in order to create a significant referral base for maintaining a set inpatient population. The Rehabilitation Clinical Liaison in consultation with St. Mary Medical Center physicians is also responsible for the completion of appropriate pre-screening documentation.

Job Requirements

  • Current clinical licensure RN/LVN.
  • Working knowledge of rehabilitation interdisciplinary team model.
  • Two or more years experience in a medical setting.
  • Understanding of Medicare guidelines for admission CMS 13 compliance and the Medicare 60% rule.
  • Marketing experience in a medical or hospital environment.
  • Computer literate.
