AECOMs Water Business Lineis seeking a talentedEntry-Level Architectural Designer / Architect to support water wastewater treatment flood protection and associated projects in our Chelmsford MA office. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Perform assignments which require the applicationof standard techniques procedures and criteria to carry out architectural tasks associated with the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities. Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
- Exercise architectural judgment for the development of architectural plans elevations sections and details including three dimensional views and life safety plans.
- Prepare technical specifications.
- Verify compliance with applicable codes and standards/practice in the alteration of existing facilities.
- Prepare design drawings plans sections details and profiles/sections within a Revit model.
- Work under the mentorship and supervision of a senior architect.
- Willingness and ability to occasionally travel to sites throughout North America.
Qualifications :
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Architecture or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience.
- Must have a valid U.S drivers license and as a condition of employment must be able to pass AECOMs Motor Vehicle Records review.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Architecture or equivalent education/experience.
- Prior related intern and/or professional experience.
- Capable of using spreadsheet word processing and standard office software.
- Basic knowledge of industry-standard computer software for the position such as Revit Bluebeam and other commercially available architectural packages.
- Detail-oriented while still able to understand/comply with the big picture/goals of a project.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong logic and writing skills.
- Documents time and effort accurately.
- Ability to work productively in a team environment.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexible can adapt to shifting priorities/work schedules.
- Able to work independently.
- Self-learner.
- Can take directions from others and in turn can guide others.
