DescriptionThe Role
As Health & Benefits Consulting Analyst you will play the role of technical support for the consulting and data analytics team of the Health and Benefits (H&B) line of business.
You will be focused on supporting the delivery of the technical and analytical work on a wide variety of complex projects in the employee benefit space.
You will serve to manage and coordinate the delivery of such projects including working closely with other H&B resources as well as Global Business Center (GBC) resources to ensure deadlines and quality of deliverables are met at all times.
You will be involved in the day-to-day communication and liaison with our clients and create client deliverables.
Key responsibilities:
- Analysis of employee demographics
- Analysis of the epidemiological profile of the population (if such data is available)
- Analyze existing benefits of clients to populate reporting templates and prepare side-by-side benchmark analysis
- Review and analyze benefit utilization/experience data
- Prepare and analyze reports on utilization experience and analysis calculation of loss ratios IBNRs frequency of use member profile high level benefit costing etc.
- Analyze available funding options (e.g. HMO life insurance TPA etc.)
- Analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the plan funding model (insured or self-insured)
- Assist in designing and costing alternative plans to suit client needs
- Assist in preparing reports considering the feasibility of flexible benefits as well as flexible benefit plan design.
- Assist in developing efficient plan design options and funding arrangements that fit client goals
- Assist in the delivery of special projects that may be assigned to you like WTWs portfolio averages and other actuarial data
- Demonstrate proficient writing oral presentation skills in client reports recommendations and presentations
- Train colleagues to ensure business continuity and room for expansion of this particular practice

- Identify prospect and close new business to achieve annual revenue goals while working within profitability guidelines
- Identify and target appropriate client segmentation to develop sales value proposition adopt solution-based sales approach to win new clients
- Build relationships with internal and external sources to maximize the penetration of key target accounts
- Achieve clear goals of business development activities and revenue generation
Clients
- Explore/Create business opportunities focusing on the SME segment
- Ensure that the local market is aware of WTWs intellectual capital and use the knowledge to engage with Clients and Prospects
- Ensure a thorough and deep understanding of a Prospect through research and a needs analysis with the correct points of contact.
Excellence
- Consistently perform technical review of work products
- Ensure timely and complete Compliance and Contracting requirements based on WTW Guidelines in this regard
- Consistently use Sales Tools mandated by the region completely understand and maximize the use of these
People
- Build relationships internally and collaborate effectively on cross-functional and cross-regional teams
- Ensure self-learning through WTW internal and external publications learning sites and attendance at learning sessions
QualificationsThe Requirements
- University graduate. Bachelors degree required.
- Strong analytical and creative skills.
- Polished and well-developed oral and written communication skills.
- Critical thinking and a strong commitment to the highest standards of professional conduct.
- Ability to learn quickly about WTWs capabilities strategic plans and business objectives.
- Flexible adaptable with strong interpersonal and team skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize to successfully meet deadlines.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel Word PowerPoint).
- Experience in consulting is preferred but not required.
- Experience in employee benefits is preferred but not required.
