Activities Director

As anActivities Directorat Praha Villageyou will manage a small team of activities professionals plan and conduct fun and exciting activities for our residents in memory care and assisted ideal candidate is self-motivated with a genuine concern for our residents well-being and has a creative personalityprior management experiencehas experience working with elders and has excellent interpersonal skills.

Position Type:Full-Time benefit eligible position available working 40 hours per week and one weekend every 8 weeks.

Wage Range:$22 - $26 /hour depending on experience

Location:1100 1st Street SE New Prague MN 56071 South Metro

Director of Activities Responsibilities:

• Implement high standards in the areas of organizing and coordinating thefunctions of the activities department.
• On-board and monitor success of volunteers and supervise staff members.
• Createan environment that meets the needs wants and interests of residents promoting all areas of group and 1-1 programming as well as promoting desirable interactionindependence.
• Drive the resident bus.
• Perform administrative functions within the facility.
• Comply with state and federal regulations.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

• BA or BS degree in a health/human services related field preferred.
• Experience in a therapeutic activity department preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to meet physical requirements of the job.
• Is dependable and organized.
• Functional knowledge of computer hardware and software.
• Ability to respect confidentiality of resident information.
• Desire to work with the elderly in an assisted living setting.
• Ability to manage diverse individuals and multiple priorities at once.
