Summary
This role applies foundational to intermediate data engineering principles theories and concepts to solve a range of business problems of varying complexity. Utilizes tools techniques and professional knowledge acquired through specialized training education or experience. Exercises professional judgmentfrom limited to independent decision-makingwithin defined parameters or established practices to determine and execute appropriate actions. Develops practical expertise across select to several business processes technologies and data domains. Acts as a collaborative and informed team member by providing information analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. Evaluates data engineering challenges and contributes to solution development through informed recommendations.

Key Responsibilities
- Participates as a member of a data engineering team
- Performs analysis of technical requirements of basic to intermediate complexity.
- Designs and develops solutions of basic to moderate complexity.
- Completes data engineering activities individually or as defined by more senior engineers
- Participates in design and outcome reviews
- Designs prepares and executes manual and/or automated test plans and scripts.
- Applies technical knowledge of data engineering to perform routine to moderately complex maintenance and support of solutions
- Demonstrates capability to work directly with business and technical resources
Typical Education
| Bachelors Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university |
Relevant Experience
| 1-5 years data engineering experience and/or training |
Knowledge & Skills
- Demonstrated understanding of data engineering with the ability to address moderately complex issues.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Python or SQL.
- Applies basic methodologies for data engineering (i.e. ETL data orchestration data modeling data quality etc.)
- Experience with Azure DevOps Databricks SQL and Data Modeling.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills contributing to team design activities and documentation.
- Can apply critical thinking skills to solving problems and a strong technical aptitude.
- Experience delivering data solutions through agile software development methodologies is ideal but not required.
