Position Summary:Solar Gaines is expanding! We are seeking a dedicated QA/QC Technician to support our solar installation projects during the construction phase. This role is vital to ensuring all installations meet performance safety and quality standards.Key Responsibilities:- Conduct on-site quality inspections at all stages of the project lifecycle
- Verify compliance with design specifications building codes and manufacturer guidelines
- Document and track quality issues non-conformities and corrective actions
- Assist in the development and maintenance of QA/QC checklists and standard procedures
- Perform hands-on field work when necessary
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local electrical standards
- Maintain clear communication with superintendents project managers and clients
- Regularly inspect and maintain assigned PPE tools and equipment
Required Skills & Qualifications:- Minimum 2 years of experience in PV construction commissioning or quality assurance
- Familiarity with QA/QC or commissioning platforms (e.g. Procore)
- Strong knowledge of DC electrical systems and PV components
- Ability to interpret blueprints schematics and manufacturer documentation
- Familiar with NEC and local PV installation codes
- Excellent troubleshooting and coordination abilities
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
- Comfortable lifting up to 60 lbs. and working at heights
- Proficient in using computers and monitoring software
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards
Education & Certifications:- High School Diploma or GED (Required)
- OSHA 30 Certification (Required)
- Valid Drivers License (Required)
- Journeyman Electrician License (Preferred not required)
Schedule:- Monday Friday
- 8-hour shifts
