Job Description: Accounting Manager-Bilingual
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our retail organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting and leadership skills extensive experience in financial management for retail operations and proven expertise working with NetSuite ERP. This role will oversee daily accounting operations ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and support the companys growth by enhancing financial processes and controls.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Oversee the preparation of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Manage general ledger accounts payable/receivable and payroll processes.
ERP & Systems Management
Administer and optimize NetSuite ERP for accounting and reporting needs.
Lead process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency.
Partner with IT and business teams to maintain system integrity and reporting accuracy.
Budgeting & Forecasting
Support the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights for leadership.
Track and explain variances between actuals and forecasts.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Maintain and strengthen internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Coordinate audits (internal and external) and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.
Establish and document accounting policies and procedures.
Team Leadership
Supervise mentor and develop accounting staff.
Provide leadership in creating a high-performance finance team culture.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations merchandising and supply chain.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required.
CPA or CMA designation preferred.
Experience
57 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a management role.
Prior experience in retail or consumer goods industry strongly preferred.
Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP required; experience with integrations and customizations is a plus.
Skills
Strong knowledge of GAAP internal controls and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical problem-solving and organizational skills.
Effective leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic retail environment.
