Summary Perform diversified assembly and erection operations to assemble intricate or large and expensive products to close tolerances and strict inspection requirements. Assembly procedures are usually prescribed and operations are recognized as standard practices. Essential duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Do skilled aligning adjusting and fitting of parts sub-assemblies and related units
- Use a variety of hand tools and power tools
- Recognize defective parts
- Work from complicated assembly drawings diagrams and specifications
- Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and gauging devices
- Cut form and connect wiring chain foam gasket material in accordance with specifications
- Operate drills and mills for simple hole making operations
- Operate spot welder
- Work is given progress supervision and check and final assemblies are inspected and tested
- Operate PEM insertion machine to place studs nuts inserts
Qualifications and Education Requirements: Perform this job successfully the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Work experience or training which demonstrates a knowledge of assembly techniques.
