Job Title:Temporary Research Services Entry Professional
This is a Temporary position limited to no more than 9-months.
Job Summary: | Entry Laboratory Science Professionals perform duties in an experimental lab or wet lab and handle a variety of chemicals and/or potential wet hazards. Entry Laboratory Science Professionals perform duties in laboratories where chemicals drugs or other materials or biological matters are tested and analyzed. The position will require occasional travel for off-site experiments and collaborating research organizations as well as presenting data at conferences and meetings. The successful candidate will be self-motivated detail oriented and have the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. This position requires the ability to work in person with flexible hours. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with and support Principal Investigators (PI) and other stakeholders with laboratory and research functions Utilize a variety of laboratory techniques required for research projects Support analytical testing process using standard lab support knowledge in the collection and review of conditions including preserving samples completing sample preparation documenting and communicating results Perform pre-analytical analytical and post analytical test process and evaluate results produced Prepare lab for daily operations including stocking materials equipment safety cleanliness and related areas Dispose of laboratory materials and samples using well established guidelines and instructions Review complete and process logs documents databases and related materials and information |
Work Location: | Onsite this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora CO. |

Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Bachelors degree in biology molecular biology chemistry genetics or related field o A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelors degree on a year for year basis. Preferred Qualifications: Laboratory research or related experience Experience with Microsoft Office programs Experience with translational animal research models Experience with point of care testing (iSTAT) Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution Outstanding customer service skills Knowledge of basic human anatomy physiology medical terminology Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information |

Anticipated Pay Range: | The hiring range for this position has been established at: $22.53-$28.65/hour. The above hiring range represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience education specialty and training. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. Temporary employees are only eligible for sick leave benefits. |
