Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Specialist to manage and optimize shipping transportation and inventory operations. This hands-on role ensures timely deliveries compliance with regulations and smooth logistics processes across the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment has a strong understanding of domestic and international shipping and can provide guidance to team members.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare review and process all shipping documentation including bills of lading packing slips and compliance paperwork.
Coordinate shipments with carriers vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
Investigate and resolve shipping delays damages or non-conformances implementing corrective actions when needed.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory customs and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) shipping requirements.
Maintain accurate records for shipping tracking and costs; support cycle counts and audits.
Oversee custom crating packaging and special handling requirements.
Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and logistics data to management.
Provide guidance and training to logistics staff and new team members.
Collaborate with suppliers carriers and internal departments to streamline operations.
Support warehouse logistics tooling tracking and other operational functions as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping or logistics operations preferably in medical device manufacturing.
Proficiency with ERP systems is required.
Forklift experience required.
Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations and trade compliance.
DOT and IATA certifications preferred.
Experience handling hazardous materials (HAZMAT) preferred.
