We are seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Specialist to manage and optimize shipping transportation and inventory operations. This hands-on role ensures timely deliveries compliance with regulations and smooth logistics processes across the organization. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment has a strong understanding of domestic and international shipping and can provide guidance to team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare review and process all shipping documentation including bills of lading packing slips and compliance paperwork.
- Coordinate shipments with carriers vendors and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Investigate and resolve shipping delays damages or non-conformances implementing corrective actions when needed.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory customs and hazardous materials (HAZMAT) shipping requirements.
- Maintain accurate records for shipping tracking and costs; support cycle counts and audits.
- Oversee custom crating packaging and special handling requirements.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) and logistics data to management.
- Provide guidance and training to logistics staff and new team members.
- Collaborate with suppliers carriers and internal departments to streamline operations.
- Support warehouse logistics tooling tracking and other operational functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in shipping or logistics operations preferably in medical device manufacturing.
- Proficiency with ERP systems is required.
- Forklift experience required.
- Strong knowledge of domestic and international shipping regulations and trade compliance.
- DOT and IATA certifications preferred.
- Experience handling hazardous materials (HAZMAT) preferred.
