Job Description
Ohio University Regional Campuses are seeking a part-time instructor to teach online Computer Science Technology courses at the undergraduate level for Chillicothe Lancaster or Southern campuses . The exact number of Instructors needed is undetermined at this time as it is primarily dependent upon enrollments and overall student demand. When a need arises the department will select qualified candidates from this pool. Preference will be given to applicants who can teach the following online sections: CTCH 1804 Introduction to Microsoft Excel Gives the student the necessary skills to create edit format and print basic spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel. CTCH 1805 Intermediate Microsoft Excel Builds on the basic skills required in MS Excel and expands the students ability to use templates customized charts and graphics and use formulas. Position will include teaching from 3 credit hours to up to 11 credit hours per term.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business Information Technology Computer Science Education or a related field required. Technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables complex formulas macros and data visualization. Minimum 2 years of experience teaching Microsoft Excel preferably in a secondary or higher education environment. Ability to teach in various formats: in-person virtual or hybrid. Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Business Information Technology Computer Science Education or a related field. Familiarity with other Microsoft Office tools (Word PowerPoint Outlook). Microsoft Office Specialist ( MOS ) certification in Microsoft Excel
