HOW YOULL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your Role:

  • Provides primary administrative support to Labor and Delivery/Antenatal (department 6190) and the Family Care Unit (department 6080).
  • Assists with payroll records.
  • Schedules conference rooms.
  • Delivers mail.
  • Maintains the daily infant transponders supply.
  • Maintains inventory and procures supplies for nursing units.
  • Collects data elements required by state law and necessary for birth certificate completion (e.g. parental data for paternity acknowledgment).
  • Interfaces with medical staff members nursing staff members and the Florida Department of Health Bureau of Vital Statistics regarding birth registration matters.
  • Works collaboratively with other departments within the Womens and Childrens Svc Line WCS (department 6195) for projects or vacation coverage.
  • Performs duties related to maintaining overall efficiency within each of the respective departments.
  • Displays an understanding of diversity.
  • Demonstrates integrity compassion accountability respect and excellence (I CARE values).
  • Enhances and contributes to a safe environment for all colleagues visitors and patients.
  • Performs miscellaneous duties not expressly described herein.

  • RN Registered Nurse/Dir/Perinatal Services-Ops (JC: 014101)

  • None

WHAT YOULL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (e.g. certificate of high school equivalency)

Preferred Education:

  • Associate degree in health information management (HIM).

Required Experience:

  • Two (2) years of job-related experience

Preferred Experience:

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Types fifty-five (55) correct words per minute (cwpm).
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Above average organizational skills.
  • Above average time management skills.

Required Certification/License/Registry:

  • None

Preferred Certification/License/Registry:

  • Registered health information technician (RHIT) credential from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
