Rate of Pay: 16.85 - 21.47 per hour
Summary:
The Spatial Data Capture Officer will support the ongoing management of Elmbridge Borough Councils green spaces parks commons and other leisure sites by capturing and managing spatial data for assets and grounds maintenance. The role will sit within the GIS team and work closely with the Leisure team to ensure data is accurately captured maintained and integrated into the councils systems. The officer will also produce maps support project delivery and promote the use of GIS to improve efficiency and decision-making across the service.
Responsibilities:
- Capture all grounds maintenance sites and associated assets into the corporate spatial database.
- Define project-specific data attributes and schemas to meet project requirements.
- Validate update and manage spatial data from a variety of sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Produce digital maps for publication and printing ensuring cartographic standards are applied.
- Collaborate with the GIS team to integrate data into Web Mapping Services (WMS) for internal use.
- Develop document and implement procedures for data capture updates management and analysis.
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent standard.
- Minimum 2 years experience in a GIS-related role.
- Recent experience leading and delivering GIS projects with the ability to assess requirements identify problems and implement solutions.

- You should have right to work in U.K
- This role requires an basic DBS
