Part-Time Elementary Teacher/Tutor Wanted

Gain valuable teaching experience!Oxford Learning Burlington Southis looking for an enthusiastic motivated and committed English and math teacher to join our fabulous staff! Were a busy learning centre that is experiencing rapid growth and we must ensure that we have enough teachers to meet this growing demand! Please review the following criteria to determine whether this position might be the right fit for you.

A great candidate for this position will possess the following skills:

Confidence teaching both English and Math curriculum from Kindergarten to Grade 8
Experience in either teaching or tutoring
Strong English language written and oral communication skills
Strong ability to organize and multi-task

Education:

Bachelors degree or similar certification in a relevant field
Fourth year university students withsome tutoring experience will be considered; excellent third year university students with extensive tutoring experience will also be considered.
Teaching certification an asset
Good knowledge of the current Kindergarten to Grade 8 curriculum

Responsibilities (Position Details):

You will work directly with students as an Interactive Coach with the following responsibilities:

Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levels
Teaching in-person
Following the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
Filling in post-lesson notes
Completing daily student communication updates
Maintaining a friendly and professional manner at all times

Interested candidates must be available at least two evenings per weekfrom3:00 pm.

Teacher-Tutors at Oxford Learningdo nothave to lesson plan before class as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Evenings 3:00 pm - 8:00pm
Monday toThursday
Saturday availability 9:00 am - 12:00pm
