We are currently accepting applications for Student Monitor. Under the direction of the Principal the Student Monitor will provide general supervision and monitoring of students.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must possess a secondary school diploma.
  • 6 months experience working with children/students in a supervisory/monitor capacity is required.
  • CPR and First Aid is preferred/asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Skills Required

  • Must possess a secondary school diploma
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and respond to student needs.
  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to use tact diplomacy and discretion in interactions within the school community.
  • Ability to follow school policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities: (Any or all of the following)

  • Provide general supervision and monitoring of students during lunch/nutrition breaks yard duty and in the halls.
  • Supervise students within the school setting field trips and on the school yard in school as assigned by the Principal.
  • Convey information to students regarding acceptable behavior as per school procedures.
  • Demonstrates good attendance and works in a healthy and safe manner.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Effort Required (Physical & Mental):

Physical
Work requires light manual effort typical of a normal school environment.
Short periods of standing while supervising
