40Summary:
The LCSW will work as part of our Emergency Response Team to provide direct Social Work services to our pediatric patients and families coping with acute or chronic medical conditions. The Social Worker provides psychosocial assessments crisis intervention and emotional support/counseling to patients and their families. The social worker assesses families for needed assistance with resource procurement in order to support the familys effort in caring for their child in either the ambulatory or inpatient care setting. Will work closely with the multidisciplinary treatment teams in both the inpatient and outpatient arenas to facilitate and support the medical plan of care.
Education & Experience:
Masters degree from an accredited school of Social Work.
Previous experience in a hospital setting preferred.
Experience working with children and families is preferred.
Licensure/Certifications:
LCSW Licensure in Texas.
Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for Health Care Providers within 30 days of employment.
