Job Summary


The PTS Project Director manages staff and provides leadership planning coordinating and administration for the PTS Disability Innovation Fund (DIF) Demonstration Project in order to achieve project objectives. The Project Director plays a key role in team coordination risk management problem solving and communication with stakeholders building constructive working relationships to support positive project results.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The PTS Project Director will be responsible for the following core job duties:

1. Project Leadership & Oversight: Hire and supervise required staff to meet project goals. Provide leadership planning coordination and administration for the DIF Demonstration Project to achieve objectives related to targets budget and quality. Maintain alignment with Lighthouse Louisianas mission and strategic goals. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure successful project implementation. Manage changes and updates to the project in collaboration with executive leadership. Resolve issues and make decisions to ameliorate conflict that may threaten the success of the project.

2. Stakeholder & Team Collaboration: Cultivate positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project momentum resolve issues and support successful implementation. Provide weekly updates to the COO and collaborate with the Director of Workforce Development to develop and execute new services. Communicate with senior leaders and their teams to ensure staff awareness and collaboration to support project initiatives.

3. Grant Management & Financial Oversight: Develop and submit annual budgets and reports in collaboration with program and finance staff. Monitor and track grant-related expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets. Maintain organized records of applications awards and reporting documentation. Ensure compliance with grant terms federal regulations and Lighthouse financial policies. Prepare for financial audits and provide all required documentation.

4. Budget & Financial Planning: Analyze financial data to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with grant goals. Identify and mitigate financial risks and recommend budget realignments when needed. Participate in ongoing training and technical assistance related to grant financial activities.

5. Data & Evaluation: Monitor project progress and analyze data to ensure milestones are met. Provide monthly and quarterly reports for grant compliance. Coordinate with the independent evaluator and internal teams to support project evaluation.

6. Strategic Communication & Outreach: Collaborate with communications staff to implement the 5-year communication plan update the website and support outreach efforts. Speak with passion and professionalism when presenting the PTS Project to diverse audiences. Establish clear communication channels with grantors project officials and accounting staff regarding financial matters.

7. Documentation Reporting & Closeout: Maintain accurate documentation of project activities financial

transactions and evaluation data. Provide analysis and recommendations to improve project outcomes. Properly and timely close out the project by meeting all financial reporting requirements and coordinating with the CFO and program staff.

8. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned by the COO to support the success of the PTS project and Lighthouse Louisianas mission.


Requirements
  1. Education: Bachelors degree in accounting finance business administration health social science or a closely related field preferred. Project Management Certificate preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience (minimum 6 years) considered.
  2. Special Knowledge/Skills: Strong working knowledge of standard accounting and financial practices. Ability to manage the financial aspects of multiple grants/projects and meet deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook). Proficiency in NetSuite accounting software is a plus. Experience with CRM software (Salesforce preferred). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical organizational and time management skills. Ability to interpret and apply grant rules and regulations. Ability to lead collaborative groups and work effectively with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of best practices for project management reporting and compliance. Attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information.
  3. Experience: Minimum of three years work experience managing complex projects including budget management contract oversight reporting and team coordination. Proven experience in financial or grant management required. Experience with federal grants and nonprofit funding sources preferred.
  4. Supervisory Responsibility: Direct supervision of PTS staff and/or indirect supervision of cross-functional teams in partnership with program directors. Must be able to lead and facilitate collaborative groups.
  5. Physical: Able to review print and electronic materials navigate in the community lift a minimum of 25 pounds sit for extended periods and travel independently across regions.
  6. Personality: Self-started who is well-organized punctual independent personable dependable and adaptive. Able to motivate and work well with others manage conflict and find common ground. Demonstrates integrity professionalism and cultural competence.
  7. Working Conditions: Office and community settings. Some travel required across a 30-parish region. Must possess reliable transportation and valid Louisiana insurance coverage.
  8. Work Schedule: Full time/Non-Exempt 40 hours weekly some evening events and travel as needed.
  9. Background Check and Drug Testing Required: Employment is contingent upon satisfactory results.
  10. Federal Suitability Requirements: Certain federal grant awards require individuals to meet federal suitability requirements to perform duties associated with the grant award. Employees who perform certain job duties associated with these grant awards must meet federal suitability requirements to secure and maintain employment with the Lighthouse.
