About the Role
Theres no better time to join Sportsbet than now just as the excitement builds toward the Spring Racing Carnival. As a Trading Operator youll be part of the team that brings the energy strategy and thrill of racing to life.
This isnt your standard office job. Youll work with live markets real-time data and some of the countrys most iconic racing events. But you wont be doing it alone youll be backed by a supportive collaborative team expert training and a culture where innovation inclusion and high performance go hand in hand.
What Youll Do
- Trade Racing Events: Manage pricing and trading for race meetings balancing precision with pace across all three codes thoroughbreds greyhounds and harness.
- Contribute Strategy: Help execute and evolve our trading strategies using both market insight and customer behaviour data.
- Optimise Tools & Models: Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to improve trading models and internal systems.
- Support & Collaborate: Partner closely with experienced Racing Traders and the broader trading team to ensure smooth operations and shared learning.
- Champion Performance: Meet trading KPIs stay composed under pressure and deliver strong results across a wide range of racing events.

You dont need to come from a wagering background so if you have a sharp analytical mindset understand how financial markets operate or just love the trackside buzz and want to break into the industry this could be your moment.

- Are naturally curious and strategic and always looking for ways to improve or innovate
- Have a strong interest in how markets operate or solid knowledge of the racing industry (or are keen to learn)
- Can manage multiple tasks and make confident decisions in high-paced situations
- Bring experience withanalytical tools or trading platforms (or are keen to learn)
- Communicate well and enjoy working with a wide variety of people
