The Center for Translational Antiviral Research is recruiting aResearch Technician III.

The essential duties and responsibilities of theResearch Technician III are the following:

This positions research program is focusedon the discovery of novel antiviral therapeutics and the assessment of their therapeutic activity in different animal models of viral infection.

Independently monitor different species of animals assess clinical signs and document health status.

Perform non-surgical procedures including oral gavaging injections lavaging and post-mortem necropsy.

Animal species covered are ferrets roborovski dwarf hamsters Syrian golden hamsters and mice.

Prepare animal procedures and clean up procedure rooms after completion of procedures.

Prepare written study reports.
