State and federal contractor looking for a Concrete Form Carpenter. The Concrete Carpenter is responsible for constructing assembling and dismantling concrete forms frameworks and structures according to specifications and blueprints. This position plays a key role in supporting marine and heavy civil construction projects by ensuring all concrete formwork and placement meets project standards for quality safety and efficiency. Individual must be a punctual dependable self-motivated team player who seeks out opportunities to take initiative. Typical work activities include working in all types of marine and industrial environments such as dry docks piers wharfs and waterfront building structures on Naval Facilities and other state and federal sites. The initial need for this position is for ongoing projects at the various locations of Naval Base Kitsap. Davis Bacon Prevailing wages apply.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct set align and secure forms for concrete structures including walls footings slabs columns and bridge or marine components.
Read and interpret blueprints plans and sketches to determine project layout and specifications.
Cut shape and assemble materials such as lumber plywood metal and form hardware for concrete formwork.
Install rebar embeds anchor bolts and other related materials according to design specifications.
Pour level and finish concrete to specified grades and textures.
Dismantle and remove formwork safely after concrete has cured.
Use a variety of hand tools power tools and measuring instruments safely and efficiently.
Maintain work areas in a clean safe and organized manner.
Follow all safety rules company policies and site-specific procedures.
Assist other trades and crew members as needed to meet project goals.
Work in varying conditions including low light and wet environments.
Maintain flexibility to work early mornings nights weekends or extended hours based on project needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Lift 75 pounds repeatedly
Minimum of 2 year of experience in construction
Valid Driver License ***
Ability to pass drug screening (at time of hire and randomly while employed)
