Title: Process Engineer Automation
Reports to: Manufacturing Technology Manager
Location: Central organization supporting multiple plants and cross-functional teams
About the Role:
The Manufacturing Technology organization develops advanced manufacturing concepts and solutions with a strong focus on standardization quality innovation cost efficiency and sustainability. Operating across all Swedish sites the department plays a key role in driving RFQs for all customers and managing product and process changes. Our long-term goal is to evolve manufacturing sites into efficient Lean and highly digitalized environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure automation-related manufacturing concepts equipment and material flows are efficient and aligned with Lean principles and innovation strategies.
- Define and develop automation solutions including transport systems assembly and picking processes with a focus on efficiency quality and safety.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D production quality maintenance IT) to integrate automated systems enhance productivity reduce lead times and ensure compliance.
- Lead development projects and support commissioning and validation of automation systems.
- Actively participate in RFQ processes providing expertise and input within the automation domain.
- Analyze current production processes to identify automation opportunities and drive improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
- Stay informed about emerging automation technologies and industry best practices.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Automation Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in process engineering and industrial automation.
- Proven technical expertise in process engineering and automation technologies.
- Successful track record in developing and implementing automated solutions.
- Strong understanding of productivity enhancement strategies for short- and long-term goals.
- Experience with Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing systems.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to operate influence and communicate effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
- Fluent in written and spoken Swedish and English.
