Role Overview

The Accounts Payable and Payroll Specialist is accountable for all aspects of the accounts payable and payroll processes as well as assisting the team with other operational activities as necessary from time to time for TSI and its local and international subsidiaries TAO holding company and a third-party client under administered by TSI.


Accounts Payable Support

  • Manage the full-cycle Accounts Payable process including invoice intake coding approvals and payments for multiple entitieswith various different currencies (USD CAD etc.).
  • Process supplier invoices accurately and in a timely manner while ensuring alignment with internal cost allocation and transfer pricing policies.
  • Coordinate and process employee expense reports and corporate credit card reconciliations.
  • Prepare and execute supplier payments via EFT ACH and wire transfers ensuring compliance with vendor terms and avoiding overdue penalties.
  • Reconcile aged payables and vendor statements proactively resolving discrepancies and maintaining positive vendor relationships.
  • Support tax compliance by preparing monthly sales tax filing and returns
  • Process intercompany transactions in alignment with the transfer pricing and cost allocation policies

Payroll Support

  • Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll in coordination with the HR and Finance teams ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and record journal entries for payroll employee benefits and related accruals.
  • Reconcile payroll-related clearing accounts and address discrepancies as needed.
  • Assist with payroll-related reporting and compliance filings.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Assist with other finance operations as assigned by the Controller.
  • Provide backup support for Accounts Receivable and cash management functions during peak periods or absences.
  • Contribute to documenting and maintaining accounting policies procedures and internal controls to support a robust finance function.
  • Other duties as needed and assigned.


Does this sound like you

  • Accounting degree or diploma
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable or equivalent accounting role
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately calculate post correct and manage accounting figures and financial records with high attention to detail and a high degree of data entry accuracy
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central accounting software or another ERP accounting system is highly desired
  • Experience using expense reimbursement software
  • Strong work ethic and positive team working attitude
  • Sound analytical thinking planning prioritization and execution skills
  • Ability to communicate information in a straightforward manner
  • Must possess a high level of moral judgment for handling confidential information and monetary transactions

Hiring Range: $55000 - $70000


Placement within the range is determined through the interview process and is based on a candiates knowledge skills and qualifications for the role.
