Job Summary
Job Title: Mechanical Supervisor
We are hiring a seasoned Mechanical Supervisor to oversee mechanical construction activities at petrochemical plant sites. The ideal candidate must have minimum 5 years of Gulf experience especially from the construction contractor side in live plant environments. Familiarity with SABIC project standards is highly desirable. The candidate should demonstrate strong leadership skills and thorough knowledge of piping equipment erection and mechanical systems installation.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate mechanical construction works including piping static and rotating equipment installation.
Monitor daily site activities and ensure compliance with project specifications safety norms and quality standards.
Collaborate with project engineers QA/QC teams and subcontractors for seamless execution of site tasks.
Ensure proper implementation of construction schedules and resource planning.
Conduct inspections and maintain proper documentation related to mechanical works.
Resolve technical issues on-site and provide direction to the workforce to meet timelines.
Adhere to client (e.g. SABIC) standards and specifications during all stages of construction.
Essential Qualifications:
B.E. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
8 to 10 years of total experience with at least 5 years in the Gulf (preferably Saudi Arabia).
Experience working in petrochemical construction projects especially on behalf of construction contractors.
Strong understanding of construction procedures materials codes and safety regulations.
SABIC project experience is a significant advantage.
Skills Required:
Expertise in mechanical site supervision including piping systems and equipment installation.
Familiarity with mechanical drawings P&IDs and isometric plans.
Leadership and team management abilities in high-pressure environments.
Strong communication and coordination skills with multidisciplinary teams.
Problem-solving mindset with attention to technical detail.
