About the Role

Kolomolo is looking for an experienced Information Security Specialist with hands-on expertise in IT security operations and log analysis. The consultant will contribute to the development and maintenance of secure environments for critical systems and applications.

What Youll Be Doing

• Conduct security monitoring of critical healthcare and regional applications.
• Perform requirements analysis related to security logs and system monitoring.
• Support the establishment and operation of security analysis functions (e.g. SOC CSIRT).
• Implement and maintain compliance with applicable laws standards and internal frameworks.
• Collaborate with internal security experts and stakeholders to ensure cohesive security operations.
• Provide input for process improvement and strategic security initiatives.

What We Are Looking For

• Relevant academic degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with application security logs and analysis.
• Certification in ISO/IEC 27001 (implementation of management systems).
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Structured and detail-oriented approach to quality and risk management.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a team.
• Must undergo and pass suitability/security vetting prior to assignment.

Nice to Have

• Certification in GIAC Security Operations Certified (GSOC).
• Experience establishing SOC or CSIRT functions within regional or public organizations.
• Experience in IT security audits linked to legal or regulatory frameworks.
• Experience working in critical or public-sector operations.
• Reference assignments showing high quality and relevance.
