English Teacher Drive Academic Rigour in Language and Literature Focusing on High-Level Analytical Writing Essex
A supportive and academically ambitious secondary school in Essexis seeking an experienced and inspiring Teacher of English with a focus on driving analytical rigour across both Language and Literature from January 2026.
- English Teacher required from January 2026

You will teach English Language and Literature across KS3-KS5. The role includes planning rigorous lessons that deepen critical theory and analytical reading skills with a focus on preparing students for challenging university-level study.
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in English or Literature.
- Experience in a successful secondary school setting is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrable success in teaching challenging pre-1900 texts at A-Level.
- Commitment to contributing to the schools academic reading programme.
