Job Summary

A nurturing Manchester primary is seeking a warm creative Reception Teacher to join the Early Years team on a Part-Time basis from January 2026. The successful Reception Teacher will be asked to attend pre-term planning sessions prior to January 2026 to complete an induction in January 2026 and to take up teaching duties from January 2026 onward. This Part-Time Reception Teacher role is designed for a practitioner who wants to combine focused high-impact EYFS practice with a sustainable timetable. The Reception Teacher will work closely with experienced TAs the phase leader and school leaders to ensure a smooth start in January 2026.

Reception Teacher Responsibilities
The Reception Teacher will: lead daily phonics and language sessions as the Reception Teacher; design and maintain stimulating continuous provision as the Reception Teacher; use observation and assessment to plan next steps as the Reception Teacher; engage families through workshops and support transition into Year 1 as the Reception Teacher. The Reception Teacher will prepare resources before January 2026 attend induction in January 2026 and teach from January 2026 as a Part-Time Reception Teacher.

Reception Teacher Requirements
We are seeking a Reception Teacher with QTS/EYTS or equivalent and demonstrable early years experience. The Reception Teacher must be creative organised and committed to building strong relationships with children and families. Availability for pre-term planning prior to January 2026 attendance at induction in January 2026 and teaching from January 2026 as a Part-Time Reception Teacher is essential. This is a Part-Time role: Part-Time hours support concentrated high-quality teaching windows and sustainable professional development for the Reception Teacher.
