The ideal candidate will bring strong financial management experience within the construction utilities or engineering sectors and will play a key role in guiding the financial strategy ensuring operational excellence and supporting continued business growth.This position oversees all accounting and finance functions from forecasting and budgeting to compliance cash management and team development. The Controller will collaborate with executive leadership to ensure accurate financial reporting and data-driven decision-making.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING- Lead the companys financial planning budgeting and forecasting processes
- Develop and implement financial policies procedures and internal controls that drive efficiency and transparency
- Oversee monthly quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Manage cash flow capital expenditures and treasury operations to maintain a strong financial position
- Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to support executive decision-making
- Collaborate with operations and project teams on cost tracking pricing and financial risk management
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards tax regulations and external audit requirements
- Mentor and lead the accounting team to foster professional growth and continuous improvement
- Partner with leadership on strategic planning and capital financing initiatives
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
- 5 years of progressive experience in financial management or controllership roles
- Prior experience in construction infrastructure or utilities strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of job costing contract accounting and project-based financial analysis
- Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate cross-functionally
- Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
