Job Summary:

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Geriatric Nursing Assistants (GNAs) to join our healthcare team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. The GNA will provide high-quality care to elderly residents in a long-term care or assisted living facility supporting their daily activities and ensuring their safety and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide personal care to residents including bathing grooming dressing toileting and feeding.
Assist with mobility transfers and positioning of residents as needed.
Monitor and report changes in residents conditions to the nursing staff.
Help maintain a clean safe and comfortable environment for residents.
Record vital signs intake and output and other necessary documentation.
Follow care plans and report any issues or concerns to licensed staff.
Assist residents with meals and ensure proper nutrition and hydration.
Offer emotional support and companionship to residents.
Comply with all facility policies procedures and safety regulations.

Required Qualifications:

Valid Maryland Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification.
Current CPR/First Aid certification.
Previous experience in a long-term care or assisted living facility is a plus.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
