Must have Cerner EMR experience The OR RN is responsible for coordinating and managing safe effective and quality patient-family centered care for surgical patients throughout the perioperative process including the pre-operative intra-operative and post-operative phases. The nurse will provide support education direct care to patients and act as a liaison between the surgical team and the patient families/support systems. Using a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to patient care the OR nurse works closely with the entire surgical team. The perioperative registered nurse may serve as a: (1) Circulating Nurse (2) 1st Scrub (Instrument) Nurse and/or (3) 2nd Scrub (Assistant) Nurse depending on level of experience and training. Education/Training: High school diploma or equivalent Graduate of an accredited RN program BSN is desired but not required Experience: Gastroenterology / Endoscopy Lab experience Orthopedic general surgery gynecology ophthalmology ENT surgical procedures and interventional pain management experience is required. Licenses / Certifications: Current licensure as RN in good standing Current AHA BLS certification Current ACLS certification Current PALS certification CNOR certification
Shift: Weekdays: Either five 8-hour days or four 10-hour days
