About the job

Advantra is partnering with a Series A AI infrastructure startup in San Francisco to hire a Software Engineer to build and scale core products for multimodal data processing.

About the role

You will design and build Eventuals main software systems. You will ship new features for enterprise users work across the stack and make the platform reliable and scalable. You will work with a small experienced team that values speed autonomy and collaboration.

Responsibilities

Design and build reliable and resilient backend systems.
Develop scalable UI and API components for enterprise users.
Collaborate with product and customer teams to define requirements.
Write clean maintainable and extensible code.
Build and deploy features that improve customer workflows.
Manage cloud-based infrastructure and integrations.
Take ownership of projects from design to production.
Review code and contribute to shared technical standards.
Support feature rollouts and handle production issues.

Core requirements

5 years of fullstack engineering experience.
At least one shipped web or enterprise-grade product.
Proven record of shipping production systems end to end.
Hands-on experience with AWS services such as S3.
Strong background in backend and frontend architecture.
Experience building developer-facing or data infrastructure tools.
Ability to manage tradeoffs between speed and maintainability.
Evidence of working directly with users or clients.
Experience in small teams with fast iteration cycles.
Based in or willing to work in San Francisco 4 days a week.

Nice to have

Experience with distributed data or GPU-based systems.
Familiarity with open-source contribution workflows.
Prior experience at early-stage startups.
Understanding of multimodal data (text image video).
Background in data infrastructure or AI tooling.
