Job Summary

Network Administrator

The Company is seeking an experienced and proactive Network Administrator to join our IT this role you will ensure the stability performance and security of our enterprise network infrastructure and its connection to the internet.

Youll plan develop configure and maintain all network hardware operating systems and related systems across a distributed environment. This is a hands-on on-site position reporting to the IT Manager in Redding California - ideal for someone who thrives on ownership precision and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure maintain and optimize the organizations internal computer network.
  • Design and plan network capacity and architecture.
  • Research and evaluate network products services and standards to support continuous improvement.
  • Identify troubleshoot and document network performance and connectivity issues.
  • Configure and maintain routers switches access points and firewalls for LANs and WANs.
  • Plan and coordinate network cabling and related infrastructure.
  • Diagnose repair or upgrade network equipment as needed.
  • Lead maintenance and administration of the companys VOIP phone system and analog lines.
  • Implement and manage network security solutions including firewalls and intrusion detection.
  • Monitor network capacity and performance through 24x7 system monitoring.
  • Manage network-related projects plan upgrades recommend purchases and oversee implementations.
  • Track hardware lifecycle and propose timely replacement or upgrade plans.
  • Partner with approved vendors for solutions procurement and escalations as needed.
  • Prepare weekly reports for network performance and capacity analysis.
  • Maintain up-to-date Cisco certifications and best practices knowledge.
  • Perform regular network security monitoring and ensure system integrity.
  • Provide technical support to users and act as backup for other IT functions as needed.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and occasional weekend maintenance during major implementations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education certifications and experience.
  • One or more of the following certifications (or equivalent):

Cisco CCNA Certification

Cisco CCNP Certification

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant IT networking experience including operational knowledge of routing and network protocols.
  • Strong working knowledge of Cisco switch configuration and programming.
  • Advanced knowledge of network topologies diagnostics and network operating systems.
  • Proven ability to install configure and troubleshoot network software hardware and communication systems.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a professional and collaborative mindset.
  • Highly organized detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Consistent reliability integrity and a strong work ethic.
