Responsibilities:
As a Nurse Practitioner with our team your role will be critical
in delivering excellent care and professional service to our patients.
Specific responsibilities include:
  1. Patient Care:
    • Assess and evaluate patients presenting with gastrointestinal and liver concerns.
    • Diagnose and treat conditions related to GI and hepatology including acid reflux irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) Crohns disease fatty liver disease hepatitis and more.
    • Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies to manage acute and chronic conditions.
  2. Patient Education:
    • Educate patients and their families about disease prevention health maintenance and treatment options tailored specifically to digestive and liver-related conditions.
    • Assist patients in understanding and adhering to prescribed treatment plans including administering lifestyle modifications (diet exercise etc.).
  3. Diagnostic and Procedural Support:
    • Supervise and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures such as endoscopy colonoscopy and laboratory results.
    • Perform routine evaluations to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  4. Collaboration:
    • Work closely with physicians nurses medical assistants and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care and positive patient outcomes.
    • Provide support during patient referrals and collaborate with specialists when necessary.
  5. Administrative Tasks:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients in compliance with state and federal regulations.
    • Help with practice operations including documentation patient scheduling and prescription management.
  6. Professional Development:
    • Engage in ongoing learning and training opportunities to grow
    • within the gastroenterology and hepatology specialty.
    • Stay current with medical advancements guidelines and best
    • practices in the field.
Qualifications:
  • Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Florida.
  • Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Interest in specializing in GI and liver medicine (prior experience in GI/liver health is a plus but not required).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse patient populations effectively.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.
